To celebrate its Silver Jubilee, Mysore Grahakara Parishat, in collaboration with Mahajana Consumer Forum, Mahajana First Grade College, Mysore recently conducted "The Smart Citizen Quiz" for undergraduate and postgraduate students of Mysore. The quiz focussed on the knowledge needed to become a responsible citizen, such as issues related to Consumer Protection, Environment, Traffic and Safety, Anti-Corruption, Social Evils, RTI. etc.
Fourteen teams from various colleges of Mysore participated in the quiz. The winners were, 1st Prize: J.Lakshman and R.C. Shivakumar (Government First Grade College, Siddharthanagar), 2nd Prize: M.P. Nagendra and Sathprem (Vidyavardhaka First Grade College), 3rd Prize: P.S. Shivakumar and M.P. Manasa (Mahajana First Grade College), Consolation Prize: M.R.Nagasimha and M.S. Harish (Vidyavardhaka First Grade College). It was notable that the first prize winner, R.C. Shivakumar is a blind student.

The winners were, 1st Prize: M.R.Nitish (Srimath Polytechnic), 2nd Prize: Chikkanka (Mahajana First Grade College), 3rd Prize: K.J.Archana (Mahajana First Grade College), Consolation Prize: R.Naveen Kumar (Srimath Polytechnic).
